RIALTO, AND REGENT, EPSOM
“CRAZY MAZIE” Fourteen years ago a fair-haired, blue-eyed little English girl left her home on a visit to relatives in Berlin. Then the war came, and the seveii-year-old girl was compelled to remain in Germany. To-day she is one of the* highest) paid artists of the. world-famous U.F.A. Company. She has a furore on the Continent, and is the idol of the cinemagoers. Her name is Lilian Harvey, and she may be seen in “Crazy Maizie,” now being shown at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres. Miss Harvey plays the dual role of a demure little girl just back from a finishing school, and a temperamental and tempestuous Spanish dancer. Her wonderfully spontaneous humour, allied to her fine histrionic ability and prowess as a dancer, make her one of the most captivating artists the screen has ever seen. She is the very personification of the effervescent spii'it of youth. “A Harp iu Hock,” a beautiful story of an old Jewish pawnbroker in New Y'ork. is the second feature.
