BOYS’ BAND FOR MT. EDEN
At a meeting in the Mount Eden Borough Council Chambers last evening, under the chairmanship of the Mayor, Mr. A. IT. Potter, it was decided to form a boys’ band and a committee was elected. Members of the Ponsonby Boys’ Band fittended the meeting and offered suggestions for starting the band. Mr. J. M. Melville promised to give an instrument and to make an annual contribution to the band’s funds. The committee elected was as follows: —Messrs. J. M. Melville, A. M. Bryden, S. Marks, Sharp, H. Bransgrove and W. Johnstone, with power to add.
