CAR’S WILD PLUNGE
ONE KILLED, TWO HURT COLLISION AT WAIMATE Press Association WAIMATE, To-day. William Alfred Charles Broad, a single man, of 22, a grocer’s assistant at Geraldine, was killed in a collision with a motor lorry four miles from Waimate at seven o’clock last evening. Deceased was driving a car containii\g his father and mother, and was returning from a bowling match at Waimate. The car struck the lorry on a brridge, continuing over the bridge through a wire fence and down a 14t't bank. Deceased’s neck was broken. His mother escaped with a broken 1 ullarbbne and his father with severe facial injuries.
