EDENDLLE

PROF. D’ALMAINE AND PICTURES

Professor D’Almaine, the world - j renowned hypnotist, will give another demonstration of his remarkable pow- ’ ers at the Edendale Theatre this ; evening. This evening's programme will be ; entirely different from that given last j evening, and will include delightfully humorous revelations of what people j will do when hypnotised. The profes- } sor will hypnotise people from the audience and make them believe they are chorus girls, skaters, preachers and j Professor D’Almaine’s exhibition it- | the most hilarious seen on any Auck- ! land stage for some time. The pictorial side of the programme i I will be headed by a smart society j j drama. “The Silver Slave.” starring 1 ! Irene Rich. I This is a comedy-drama of modern j ; life, a romance portraying the conflict i 1 between a mother and daughter in the j affairs of the heart. It was only after her mother hail < won away from her all suitors of money and years, that the chagrined daughter discovered that her mother j had done it with the sole idea of sav- | ing her from becoming another “silver slave.” Irene Rich has never been so wistfully appealing as in this play. The daughter is played by the beautiful Audrey Ferris.
