NORTHCOTE SCHOOL CONCERT

There was a packed house at the concert in aid of the primary school ground fund at Northcote last evening. Pupils of the school gave a varied programme of songs, choruses, and dances, and creditably performed a oneact play, ‘‘Knave of Hearts.’*. A comedy picture also shown. During the interval Mr. K. Martin, chairman of the school committee, thanked those present for their patronage, and presented the principal artists with handsome bouquets. The financial results exceeded anticipations, and the necessary improvements to the school grounds will be put into operation immediately.
