City Missioner Takes Choir to Awaroa Bay

Alwavs a popular outing, the A-ka-rana Tacht Club's annual cruising races to Awaroa Bay will be doubly interesting on Saturday. The 1 !'■ v - Jasper Calder, chaplain to the club, has arranged to take a choir of - ■-> to the bay for the pleasure of yachtsmen. On the evening of the finish of the races Mr. Calder and his singers will entertain the crews a.t a concert, which will be followed by the customary dance in Gordon's Hall. The cruise should be one of the most enjoyable in the history of Akarana. On the Sunday morning divine service will be conducted by Mr. Calder. His choir will sing several anthems, and an address will be given by the chaplain. This service is always pleasing to aquatic men, and on Sunday it is sure to be particularly appreIn addition to the cruising races, which are to include all classes from A to V and launches, harbour races for all smaller boats will be conducted off the new clubhouse in Hobson Bay. Outboard events will doubtless prove well patronised.
