CARTER REMANDED
“NOT A SERIOUS CASE” Arthur Whittaker, a carter aged 35, was charged at the Police Court this morning with two serious offences against girls of nine years of age. Both offences were said to have committed on the same day, December 4. On the application of Chief-Detective Hammond a remand was granted until Monday, bail being fixed at £IOO. “It is not a very serious case,” remarked Mr. Hammond.
