SPEEDWAY ACCIDENT

MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED SYDNEY, Sunday. A sensational accident marred the reopening of the Maroubra speedway yesterday. J. Spencer’s motor-cycle, at the turn into the straight, shot up over the top and disappeared. The cycle careered down the steep outside slope and broke through a wire fence. Spencer was sent to hospital with one shoulder and an arm broken. The accident occurred close to the spot where Dutton crashed fatally a year ago.
