KILLED IN BUSH

LOG FALLS ON MILLWORKER FATALITY NEAR TE KUITI (From Our Own Correspondent) TE KUITI, Wednesday. A married man, Mr. Jack Sorensen, aged 55, was killed while working in the bush, two miles from Pask’s Mill at Kopaki, this morning. Mr. Sorensen, a mill employee, was working some' distance from his mates and was engaged in breaking-out a heavy log, which fell, killing him instantaneously. Nobody witnessed the accident, but when the man’s mates came up they immediately rolled the log away and found Sorensen dead. The body is being brought to Te Kuiti to-day, where an inquest will be held. Mr. Sorensen was a well-known resident of Northcote, and at one time was emplo3 r ed by the Kauri Timber Com pany.
