METHODIST BAZAAR
FAIR AT ST. JOHN’S Yesterday a bazaar and sale of work was opened at St. John’s Methodist Church, in Ponsonby Road, by Mr. J. W. Hardley, who has just returned from a tour of Hngland and. America. The Rev. A. S. Mitchell, pastor of St. John’s, welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Hardley. Mr. Hardley thanked Mr. Mitchell and said that this was the third time he had had the pleasure of opening a bazaar at St. John’s. He congratulated those who had airranged the fair and worked for its success. Mrs. Hardley was presented with a pretty bouquet by the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Russell. During the afternoon Miss F. Cook’s orchestra played. The fair was continued last evening and will continue this afternoon and evening. The stall-holders are: Ladies’ Guild stall, Mrs. Mitchell, Mrs. Smith and Miss Joynt; sweets, Miss Thorne; cakes, Mrs. W. Hardley; produce, Mrs. Braithwa ite, Mrs. McDonegal and Mrs. Reed; choir stall, Mrs. Horsley and Mrs. Carter; Christmas tree, Mrs. Price; tea-rooms, Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. Pierce, Mrs. Hutchins and Mrs, Evinton; side-shows, Mr. Norman Nicliolls and Young Men’s Bible Class.
