SWIMMING AT WHANGAREI
BIG CARNIVAL THIS WEEK /■Special to THE SUE) WHANGAREI, Wednesday. 'Close racing in two events put on by the Whangarei Swimming Club last evening indicated that competition will be keen in the club's big opening carnival, which will be held this week. In the women’s race the place winners were Misses A. Edwards, Dent and IT. Nicholls. J. Redwood won the men's race, Edwards was second and A. Howie, third.
