LOCAL BODIES' ATTITUDE The decision of the Auckland City Council to limit the number of street collections has caused the Devonport Borough Council to abandon its scheme for a conference of local bodies to discuss the subject. Some months aDevonport circularised the local bodies suggesting a limitation of the number of street collections to eight per annum. At that time Auckland City was not disposed to support the idea, but now that it has indicated its decision regarding limitation other local bodies will probably follow suit.
