PRINCES SPEED HOME
BY WARSHIP AND TRAIN (Australian and N.Z, Press Association) Reed. 10.15 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. The Admiralty expects the cruiser Enterprise to reach Suez on Friday night. She must be travelling at great speed. The Admiralty estimates her speed at somewhere in the region of 29 knots. A message from Cairo says the Prince of Wales will travel from Suez in a special train. The line will be specially cleared to Alexandria. The journey will be covered some hours quicker than by an ordinary train. Reed. 11 a.m. CAPETOWN, Tuesday. The Duke of Gloucester reaches Bulawayo at 7 to-night, picks up the Rhodesian express, and sails by the Balmoral Castle on Friday for England. It is expected that the liner will reach London on Boxing Day. The Prime Minister. General J. B. Hertzog, summoned Cabinet to-day to deal with the position arising out of the King’s illness.
