COURTS HAVE LIGHT DAY RELIEVING S.M. ON BENCH Light traffic lists occupied the attention of the Police and Magistrate’s Courts this morning. there being fewer motorists charged Jian has been the case for several months past. Fines were imposed on only 60 offenders, as against the usual 100 or more. Most of the charges brought by the City Tralfic Department dealt with motorists who left their cars unattended, fines of 10s being imposed for this offence. There were few defended cases, and both Courts had adjourned shortly after 11 o'clock. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., presided over the Police Court, and Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., over the Magistrate’s Court. Mr. Hewitt is relieving Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., who is at present in W ellington.
