ROTORUA INTERESTS
A meeting of the committee of the Rotorua A. and P. Association was held on Alonday. There was a fair attendance. Air. R. Copeland-Smith presided. The resignation of Air. E. F. H. Knowles was accepted with regert, the association recording its appreciation of past services. It was resolved to advertise the position of secretary to the association immediately, the matter of appointment to be left in the hands of the executive with power to act; the salary to be £ll2 per annum. Air. E. T. Johnson was appointed secretary pro tern. The following were elected to the executive with power to add:—Alessrs. H. AI. Martin, R. G. Bennett, J. N. AlcLean, J. AI. Roberts, E. Armer, G. Steele. B. Pratt and J. Aloule. It was agreed to the summer show on or about February 23, 1928. v °te of thanks was passed to Air. H. AI. Alar tin for his generous gift of a cheque for £SO. The following were appointed as conveners:—Messrs. C. Hemming (Mamaku), H. Ar. Martin (Ngongotahi), W. J. I arsons (Atiamuri), Seccombe (lieporoa), R. c. Smith (Te Ngae), J. Alurphy (Western District), C. Florey (Kaharoa). The following stewards were appointed:—Alessrs. E. La Trobe Hill (light horses), M. Russell (heavy horses), r. Jackson (cattle section), E. F. 11. Knowles (sheep), J. B. Alurphy (pigs), S. H. Dalbeth (field produce), L. V. Loudman (dairy section), A. Steele (fruit), Airs. C. A. Clarke (flowers), Airs. D. Steele (jams and preserves), Airs. F Goodson (baking), Aliss St. Clair (needle and fancy work), Aliss K. Hall (decorated tables), Alessrs. J. N. McLean, E La Trobe Hill, C. Way and E. Armer were elected ground stewards. The weekly luncheon of the Rotorua Rotary Club was held in the Government Tea Kiosk on Alonday. Air. J. AI. Roberts presided.
