firm prices rule (Special to THE SUN) HAMILTON, Tuesday. The weekly stock sale at the Prankton yards was marked by a slight improve ment m most prices. There was a attendance of buyers. There was a good demand for sheep, prices showing an improvement. Prime quality cows made £l2 19s to £l3 15s; medium fat cows, £9 to £9 17s 6d; lighter, £7 10s to £8 11s: runners, £3 10s to £4; vealers, £2 Is to £2 10s; heavy prime woolly ewes, 31s 4d to 32s 6d; fat lambs, ~‘>s to 26s Sd: heavy baconers, £2 15s to £3 3s: medium. £2 8s to £2 12s: porkers £2 Is to £2 10s; stores, 28s to slips, 17s to 235; weaners, 7s to Daigety and Company, Limited.—There was a moderate yarding of beef. Heavy prime bullocks were not wanted, and prices for these were lower, but all young cow and prime heifer beef sold at an advance on last week's rates. Prime medium-weight bullocks made up to £ls: prime young cow and heifers, up to £ll ?s: medium cows and heifers. P. 9 to £lO ss; light cows, £8 10s to £9 2s 6d: vealers. £2. There was a small yarding of store cattle. Store cows made up to £5 15s; 2-year-old store heifers, Shorthorn, £6 Is Jersey cows, forward. £4 18s. There v/as a. small yarding of sheep. Fat sheep were very firm at late rates. Choice prime wethers made up to S4s 9d; ligiff wethers, 30s; prime ewes, 25s 6d: 140 2-t >oth store wethers made 275; 45 smell ditto, 23s 3d. Quite a largo yarding of pigs sold at firm late rates.
