COASTAL MOVEMENTS— The Gisborne Sheepfarmers* steamer Tiroa went on slip yesterday to have her hull cleaned and painted. She is to come off to-day, and will sail this .evening for Hicks Bay and Gisborne. The Richardson steamer Awahou, loading at King’s Wharf, is scheduled to sail at 5 o’clock this evening for Tokomaru Bay, Hicks Bay and Gisborne. The Waipu arrives at 5 o’clock this evening from Coromandel and Colville. She is scheduled to sail again at 5 p.m. to-morrow for Kopu and Turua. The Kawau arrives at Auckland at half-past seven this evening from Kawau, Leigh and Mangawai. She sails again at 11 a.m. to-morrow for Kawau, Takatu, Ti Point and Little and Big Omaha. The Taniwha sails at half-past four this after .oon for Paeroa. She is due back again at 9.30 p.m. to-morrow. The Claymore, leaving at half-past ten this evening for Whangarei, returns again at half-past three on Thursday morning. The Omana leaves Auckland at 4 o’clock this afternoon for Waiwera, Mahurangi and Warkworth. She is due back again at 5 a.m. to-morrow, and at 10 a.m. the same day leaves again for Waiheke. The Ngapuhi arrives at Auckland at half-past seven to-morrow morning from Tauranga. The Rangitoto sails at half-past eight to-morrow morning for Thames. The Pakura sailed last evening for East Coast Bays, Napier and Wairoa. The Westport Coal Company’s Canopus is expected to sail from Auckland late this evening for Westport. She has discharged a coal cargo at Prince’s Wharf. The Katoa went into dock at Devonport this morning to have her hull painted. The Waimea sails from Auckland at four o’clock this evening for Gisborne and Napier. The Kurow is to leave Wellington today for Auckland. On arrival she will berth at Prince’s Wharf, and after completing discharge is to be dispatched again for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. The Union Company’s Kaituna has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive at Auckland at 4 p.m. to-morrow from Westport. She berths at Central Wharf to discharge, after which she is to undergo annual overhaul and survey at this port. The Kartigi is to be dispatched on Thursday for Westport, Greymouth, Launceston and Melbourne. The Union Company advises, however, that she may omit Westport. The Wiyigatui is scheduled to leave Dunedin about Saturday next for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. The Toa was to sail at noon to-day for Whakatane. The intercolonial steamer Manuka is to be dispatched from Wellington at four o’clock this afternoon for Melbourne via Southern ports.
