Expensive Miss Five!

Little Miss Five Years Old is causing the mother who travels abroad more trouble than a whole cabin-full of grown-up daughters bound for the sights of Europe and the glories of the fashionable robe salons. For travellers back from overseas declare that the hardest thing to find in London are clothes suitable to the little girl just growing out of babyhood. One smart traveller related her experiences in the hub of the universe in a feeling manner. She had searched every big store in London on her little daughter’s behalf, only to discover that while babies up to three years were catered for delightfully in every form of fashion from hats down to shoes and. socks, the little girls between three and ten ; ■

must allow mother to pay very fancy prices or go wardrobeless. Only At Bond Street! One little traveller, just back, could only find clothes to fit her at that exclusive Bond Street store where baby Princess Elizabeth is gowned. Hence her mother was not over surprised at the price asked for a little model frock of printed crepe de chine, with undies to match, a smartly tailored redingote, felt hat to tone, and lizardskin sandals. These are the days when the little miss must have a complete outfit to match. Her frock is worn with bloomers to match, her little shirt is of the same fabric, and her little jamas are all to tone. She is an expensive little person, this little miss of five years old, and she must be treated liberally when she travels abroad if she is to be brought back in a manner creditable to her parents.
