CUSTOMS REVENUE
NOVEMBER INCREASE DECREASE FOR 11 MONTHS The customs duties for November considerably exceed those for the same month of last year and the approximate figures for November, 1926. Figures for the first 11 months of this year are £140,000 less than for the corresponding period of last year. Customs revenue and tyre tax figures for the first 11 months of 1028, compared with those for the corresponding period in 1927 and 1926, are as follow:
A separate return for the first 11 months of the year, showing- the amounts collected through motor spiri* and tyre taxation, is as follows: Motor Spirit. Tyre Tax.
Totals £190,843 £39,911 Beer duty collected amounted to £10,927, compared with £3 2,120 in November, 1927, and £12,877 in the same month of 1926.
