MARKETING OF COAL

PROGRESS IN BRITAIN COLLIERY OWNERS MEET British Official Wireless Reed. 11 a.m. RUGBY, Friday. A meeting of colliery owners, to consider a further possibility of coordinating and extending the existing coal-marketing schemes, was attended yesterday by influential representatives of every one of the larger British coalfields, as well as by members from the smaller districts. The meeting had before it reports of the progress which is being made in the formulation of schemes in certain districts, and the development of existing schemes, and the discussion of practicable arrangements for the coordination of district arrangements was carried a stage further. An official report of the proceedings says there is every reason to be satisfied with the progress which is being made.
