MR. STERLING SAYS GOOD-BYE
PRESENTATIONS AT HAMILTON (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON. Friday. Prior to severing his connection with the New Zealand Co-opera tive Dairy Company. Limited, as general manager in order to assume control of the New Zealand Railways, Mr. H. H. Sterling was given a farewell social this evening. The chairman of directors, Mr. Dynes Fulton, presided ever an attendance of about 200. Mr. Sterling was presented with a grandfather’s clock from the directors, a silver tea-set from the suppliers* committoes. and a spirit stand and liqueur set from the staff. Mr. Dynes Fulton. Mr. W. Goodfellow. managing director. Mr. J. R- Fow. Mavor of Hamilton. Mr. C. H. Furni<s and Mr. C. J. Pnrlane. manager of the company, spoke in eulogy of Air. Sterling’s outstanding ability and services to the company. Mr. Sterling suitably replied. An excellent musical programme was submitted.
