BOMBAY DEVIATION
NOW OPEN FOR TRAFFIC The Bombay deviation on the Great South Road is now open to traffic and when an officer of the Auckland Automobile Association inspected the road yesterday afternoon it was found to be in good order The cutting back of the corners had also improved visibilitj*. At present the metalling of this link is held up pending negotiations between tlio County Council and the Highways Board. The board has offered a liberal subsidy of £3 for £l, and motorists have expressed the hope that an all-weather surface will bo forthcoming in the near future.
