MeMinn, a labourer, aged 46, was charged with breaking and entering the shop with intent to commit a clime. lie was also charged with committing mischief by breaking a pane of glass valued at 255. and belonging o Johnnie Walker. fcub-Inspeetoi McCarthy decided to withdraw the first charge, and MeMinn pleaded guilty on U m“f"k. Hunt. S.M.: Just the result of a drunken escapade, I suppose. Mi- McCarthy described the case us rather difficult. MeMinn was under the care of a doctor. He was a sick man and could do no work. He had a few drinks on Tuesday and felt that lie had to let the animals out ot the shop. MeMinn was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. ■Mr Walker can try and recover lus damages liv civil action if he so wishes,” remarked Mr. Hunt. Sub-Inspector McCarthy: X do not think he will do that.
