This new mail contract does not concern the New Zealand Government. The two bags of mail which came yesterday cost the United States Government £1.433 each, and 67 bags which arrived some time ago on the Golden Bear cost £43 each. The Golden Cloud brought a cargo of Limber and made the journey from Los Angeles in 2 8 days.
