YACHTING ON MANUKAU
SATURDAY’S PROGRAMME On Saturday next there is to be a combined cruising race to Cornwallis, open to boats registered with either Manukau Yacht or Cruising Clubs. Launches and yachts over 18t't. from the Yacht Club must tow dinghies. For Cruising Club boats the towing is optional, but if adopted the handicapper must be notified. The course iOi' yachts is:— . Start between the two wharves, thence between beacon and red buoj, between red and black buoy oft the Horn, then between soldier buoy and Black Rock off Blockhouse, then between half-way beacon and red buoy, between soldier buoy and black buoy off Shag Point, finishing on a line between soldier buoy off Cornwallis and Mr. Inglis’s shack on the beach. The launch course is: Start between the wharves, observing all the fairway marks for the whole of the course down channel. The yachts start at 2.1 d p.m. and the launches at 2.30 p.m.; flying start in both cases.
