MISSING MAN

SEARCH ON RANGITOTO LEFT HOME ON SATURDAY To-day a large search party is scouring Rangitoto in an effort to find Mr. Henry James Whitley, who disappeared on Saturday and has not since been seen. It was reported that he was seen late on Saturday afternoon on the Devonport Wharf, and also that lie was on a boat going to Rangitoto. Four policemen are with the relatives and friends who are searching the island to-day. Mr. Whitley left his office on Saturday at mid-day, but did not go to his home in Bridgewater Road. When he did not return that night his family became alarmed and informed the police. Mr. Whitley has not enjoyed the best of health for some time. He is 56 years of age, sft TOin in height, and slightly built. His eyes are blue, complexion fair, and his hair is turning grey.
