BORER GRUB IN KUMARA
GISBORNE, To-day. Some alarm has been caused among the natives at Gisborne by the discovery that kumeras containing a boring grub has been imported from Fiji and sold in Gisborne. As kumera represents the staple crop of the Maori population, the introduction of a pest would be serious.
