Results of the Franklin Lawn Tennis Association’s matches on Saturday as follow; Special Grade—A. teams: Pukekohe beat Aka Aka, B—2; Waiuku beat One7kPukekohe beat Aka Aka, lo— l, Waiaiu beat Onewhero, A Grade—Zone 1: Bombay and Tuakau Central played a match which is indecisive owing to some confusion regarding the scoring. Zone 2: BHekland beat Patumahoe, 6—4. B Grade —Zone 1: Buckland beat St. James. 10—4: Pukekohe Hill beat Bombay, 10—3. Zone 2: Patumahoe beat Mauku, B—6; Otaua beat West End. 6—5. Zone 3: Onewhero beat Tuakau Central
by a margin of three games; Fokeno beat Tuakau Domain, 11—5. HAURAKI PLAINS (From Our Own Correspondent) NGATEA, To-day. The llauraki Plains Tennis Association club competition was continued on Saturday. Turua, 11 sets, ben. Hopai, 2 sets; Xgatea, 11 sets, beat Kerepeehi, 2 sets; Waitakaruru, S sets, beat Kopuarahi, o sets. In the B grade series, Turua, S sets, beat Ngatea, 5 sets. CAMBRIDGE ASSOCIATION (From Our Own Correspond cut) CAMBRIDGE. To-day. At the annual meeting of the Cambridge Tennis Sub-Association Mr. Frank Swayne was in the chair. The report showed that the past year was one of the most successful since the formation of the association, and the prospects for the ensuing season were even more auspicious. The balance sheet showed a credit of 19s lid. The following officers were elected:— Patron, The Mayor. Mr. T. F. Richards; president, Mr. Frank Swayne (re-eleete<P ; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. Morrison. Frank Penn and G. Curry; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. Untwisle; management committee, ex oliicio officers with one delegate from each affiliated club, lion, auditor, Mr. Frank Penn: sole selector, Mr. Frank Swayne. It was decided after much discussion that competitions be played on the Yankee system. It was also decided to nave competitions in two grades. The following teams were nominated: —A Grade: Cambridge, 2 teams, Roto-e-raugi, Fencourt and Hautapu. B Grade: Koto-e----rangi, Fencourt, Leamington, St. Paul s, Hautapu, Tauwhare, Monavale and Cambridge. Aihliation fees were fixed as follows: Sixpence each active member, with a minimum of 15s a club. It was resolved to make application to the Waikato Association for permission to hold championship matches at the annual tournament.
