BRITISH WAR SECRETARY British Official Wireless RUGBY, Thursday. The Secretary o£ State for War, Sir Laming Worthington-Evans, to-day andanced to the Colchester Conservative Association his decision not to stand for re-election for that constituency at the next general election. In his letter he says his health is not strong enough to enable him to do his work as a Minister, and also look alter a country constituency. It is understood that a safe seat is to be found for him nearer London.
