COMPANY ACTIVITIES The Pi.opio Co-operative Dairy Company reports a seasonal increase up to October 31 of 12£ tons of butter, the output of 98 tons for the period being a record for the company. The cash advance for October was at the rate of. Is 5d a lb for finest grade. * * $ An advance of Is 6d a lb for butterfat .supplied during October is being made by the Kakepuku Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd. The pay-out for the month is £1,920, an increase of £lO on the total for October, 1927, when the price a lb was the same. The Horsham Downs Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., which manufactures cheese, has experienced a prosperous month, the basis of payment for butter-fat for the October supply being fixed at Is 7d a lb, compared with Is 3d for October last season. An increased advance to suppliers of £4lO is being made. The Norfolk Dairy Co., Ltd., paid out £4,145 on a basis of Is 6d a lb to suppliers of October butter-fat, compared with £3,968 at the same rate last year. * * * The Sunny Park Dairy Co. paid out £5,355 to suppliers for butter-fat supplied during October, compared with £5,076 for The October pay-out to suppliers of the Morrinsville Dairy Co. shows an increase of over £5,000 on the figures for the corresponding -eriod of last year. The total October pay-out was £19,795, on a basis of Is 4£d a lb of butter-fat. „ The Tatua Dairy Co. paid out £6,949 at the l-ate of Is 5d a lb of butter-fat. The Hinuera Dairy Co. paid out £10,787 for October butter-fat, an increase of £1,480 on the October figures of 1927. * * * The Whangarei Dairy Co. distributed among suppliers to-day £23,269 for the October supply of butter-fat, bringing the total pay-out for this season to date to £42,639. For October, 1927. the pay-out was £19,502, and the amount for the season to October 31. £37,561. The rate for October, 1927, was the same as for last month. Is 4d a lb. For last month’s output at Is 4d a lb butter-fat, suppliers to the Waipu Dairy Co. were to-day paid £5,123, against £4,508 for October, 1927, when the price was a halfpenny a pound more. For the four months ended October 31, the total pay-out amounted to £10,862, compared with £8,570 for the corresponding period last season. The output of the Rangitaiki Dairy Co., Ltd., continues to grow apace. The butter made at the factory during October totalled 233 tons 6 cwt, compared with 184 tons for October last year, an increase of 26.6 per cent. For the first four months of this season, the output has been 518 tons, compared with 390 tons for the corresponding period of 1927, an increase of 32.8 per cent. Th advance made by the company for last moi th at Is 3£d a lb butter-fat for superfine represents a total of £27,717. an increase of over 26 per cent, on the amount advanced for October. 1927.
