GIRL, DRIVEN INSANE BY UNFAIR CRITICISM, COMMITS SUICIDE
Reed. 11 a.m. VICTORIA (8.C.), Wed. Acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Education, the British Columbian Government has dismissed the entire school board at Nixon, following the death of Miss Mabel Jones, a teacher. The coroner’s jury returned a verdict of suicide, deciding that Miss Jones was driven insane through unjustified criticism. Inspector May reported that she was a young girl. She was subject to constant interference, though she was efficient, and was driven to desperation.
