NORTH SHORE LEAGUE
EXPANSION OF DISTRICT SUCCESSFUL YEAR Genuine pride in the successful efforts of the past year is expressed in thfe first bulletin of the North Shore Expansion League. It reports that last summer created a record for the number of visitors, and it is expected this year will show a further increase. Housing accommodation is already well booked, Takapuna being taxed to the utmost during the Christmas period. The league’s campaign has aroused public spirit in the four boroughs, and the work of the beautifying societies at Bayswater, Milford and Northcote, and the efforts of the borough, council and the Harbour Board at Birkenhead and Devonport, have greatly impi oved the entrances to the boroughs.
