FINAL DAY AT EPSOM GLORIOUS weather again prevailed for the Ota huh u Trotting Club’s spring fixture, which reached finality at Alexandra Park to-day. There was a good attendance, and the track was in excellent order.

Winner trained .by owner, Pakuranga. The opening event was not a good contest by any means, all the halfdozen starters getting up more than once. Mokanpa was withdrawn, Billy Carbine, £531, and Roez £390 carrying most support, while Royal Bob was entrusted with £2Ol, being fourth favourite. Lady Stepney went away best of the limit lot, while the favourite also got out fast. Lady Stepney made play past the stand the first time from Royal Bob, Colonel Thorpe and Billy Carbine, with Roez next but well back. Royal Bob was in front over the next circuit, being attended by Billy Carbine, Roez and Colonel Thorpe, and the leader drew away along the back and went on to score easily £>y four lengths from Billy Carbine, with Don Zolock three lengths away third. Sixteen started in the Epsom Handicap, St. Bridget, despite her fall on the tracks yesterday, was a big favourite with £939, considerably better backed than the next fancies, Warplane £517 and the Lock bracket £451. failed to go away correctly, Peter Grattan, Halgana, Trustworthy, Ursuline, Warplane, Lord Lu, St. Bridget, Nella Dillon and Horizon being the order going out of the straight. The second time round Warplane held command from Trustworthy, St. Bridget, Peter Grattan, Nella Dillon (who capsized here and interfered with several others), and Halgana. Down the back Warplane was just in front of St. Bridget, Trustworthy, Peter Grattan, Halgana, Horizon, and Admiral Lock. Into the the straight there was little between Warplane, St. Bridget, and Concertina, with Peter Grattan and Halgana close up. Warplane and the favourite drew out in the run to the judge, the former winning by a neck from St. Bridget, with the galloping Concertina three lengths away, clear of Horizon.
