STRAND

“PRINCE OF ADVENTURERS” A picture magnificent in its pageantry, packed full of thrills, and an example of the very best methods of film production is “The Prince of Adventurers,” which is now showing to crowded houses at the Strand Theatre. Besides being a fascinating and dramatic romance, Ivan Mosjukine, has the role of a most gallant lover, “The Prince of Adventurers” is a marvellous* reproduction of another age. Count Vicenzia. the great Italian historian, says of this film: “I think Italy owes a debt of gratitude to M. Volkoff, the producer, for he has perpetuated one of the most exquisite and beautiful film scenes of Venice ever seen. This is historically correct to the minutest detail, and the film is one which, like all great art, will go down to posterity, and long after this generation has passed Italy will thank those who have been responsible for this wonderful production. The film story is both moving and beautiful. I have never seen anything to equal it. Strictlv speaking, this is not a film —it is a work of art.”

First-class supporting items are presented on the programme, including a Strand Magazine, an Aesop Fable and a colourful stage presentation, in which Mr. Birrell O’Malley is the soloist.

Miss Evo Bentley’s Symphonic Orchestra plays enjoyable, incidental music and, for the overture, “Tales of Hoffman.”
