POLICE ATTACKED

FIGHT WITH SHIP’S FIREMEN THREE ARRESTS MADE (Special to THE SUN) CHRISTCHURCH. Sunday. Policemen were attacked In an hotel at Lyttelton yesterday afternoon by a number of firemen. By usins their handcuffs on the heads of their opponents, the policemen were able to keep them at bay until further police came to their assistance. This morning; three firemen, Philip Hock, aged 21, William Reylands, aged 23. and John Henry Harris, aged 25, appeared in the Police Court charged as follows: Hock, assaulting a constable; Reylands, wilfully obstructing the police: Harris, fighting with a person unknown, resisting arreet and assaulting a constable. All were remanded on bail until Wednesday.
