A Hamilton Club team, Andrews, Kemp, Robinson, and Chapman, visited Te Awamutu this afternoon as challengers for the Smith-Clarke Shield, held by R. Ross, A. C. Cruickshank, W. J. North, and R. Metcalfe, since last season. Early in the game the visitors established ahead, at the fifth head being B—2, at the tenth 12—4, and-at the fifteenth 15—9, and the twentieth 23 11. The twenty-first head was not played. The visitors played good bowls throughWAIUKU V. PUKEKOHE (Special to THE SUN) PUKEKOHE, Saturday Inter-club play between Waiuku and Pukekohe took place on the Pukekohe greens to - day. Three of the rinks were engaged in the first of this season’s two matches for the Monty Wright Memorial Cup, three in ordinary inter-club play, and two in first-year games.
