SIR W. MANIFOLD DEAD
MELBOURNE, Thursday. The death has occurred of Sir Walter Manifold, a former President of the Legislative Council of Victoria, and a prominent pastoralist, aged 79. Sir Walter Synnot Manifold was born in 1849 in Austra.ia. He was educated at Melbourne Grammar School and University, and was a solicitor. He had large holdings in Queensland and Victoria. He was a member of the Legislative Council from 1901 to 1924.
