ST. JAMES THEATRE

GEORGE WARD SEASON Although the politicians are silent, George Ward and his merry revue company are continuing their campaign of joy in Auckland. Each night this week there have been large houses at St. James Theatre and, as yet, the drawing force has lost none cf its magic power. George Ward, with his vigorous, irresistible humour, sets the pace for the show, and he is admirably supported by the diminutive comedian, A 1 Maurice. On tho singing side stands Charles Sherman, Patsy Hill and Vernon Sellars. Alme Valdor, a trim, sweet-voiced girl, sings and dances with grace. The girls of the ballet are a set of charming, lively steppers, who give graceful vitality and colour to an excellent show. i The company will entertain again this evening.
