THREAT TO RESIGN
MR. SAMUEL EXPLAINS NO ELECTION BLUFF (Special to THE SUN? PAEROA, Thursday. When addressing a meeting at Karangahake this evening Mr. A. M. Samuel. Reform candidate for Thames, said that the £I.OOO placed on the Estimates for the proposed public crushing plant for Ohinomuri was not election bluff, as had been stated I>\ the United candidate. Mr. E. McGregor. He went on to say that he would resign publicly fr«»m the party if the Government did . I r give effect to its proposals # if they were not practicable to substitute proposals which were acceptable to the local committee. Mr. Samuel said that the Government was 0 ilte sincere and was definitely committed to advance the proposal.
