ROTORUA-TAUPO LINE

INSINCERITY ALLEGED CHARGE AGAINST REFORM (Special to THE SUN) PUTARURU, To-day. A charge that the Government was being insincere in Its railway policy was made by Mr. C. H. Clinkard, United candidate for Rotorua, in a speech at Putaruru on Tuesday evening. Mr. Clinkard said the Prime Minister had not mentioned the RotoruaTaupo line in any of his yet the Hon. O. J. Hawken was telling the Taranaki electors that no final decision concerning the line had yet been made. Either the Government was deceiving the country, or Mr. Hawken was deceiving his electors. The candidate was accorded votes of thanks and confidence.
