GUILTY OF FRAUD
PROBATION FOR YOUNG MAN Pleading guilty to two charges of obtaining money by false pretences, William Neil Rosenfeldt, Avho was already serving a term of 12 months’ probation, was admitted for a further year at the Police Court this morning. Rosenfeldt, who gave his age as 22, admitted that on August 29, at Huntly, he had obtained £5 from Alfred Hamilton by representing that he was an employee of a city tailoring company. He had received £2 from Ivor George O’Neill at Papakura on September 3 by the same method. According to Detective-Sergeant Kelly, Rosenfeldt had been employed by the company for two weeks, after which he continued to take orders, pocketing the money.
Restitution of £7 was ordered at the probation officer’s discretion.
