Negotiations are yet in a preliminary stage as much depen s on whether McDonald accepts the bout in Auckland or goes to Sydney. It McDonald is not available efforts will be made to bring across Billy Harms, tne South African middle-weight, as wen as Melnnes, and these two . will be I matched. . It is probable that Harms will be brought across in any case,, for should McDonald and Melnnes decide to tight in this city, 'Harms may also come to Auckland to fight one or the other ot the pair. With this programme m view . boxing in Auckland will receive a tieciclecl fillip.
