AT DIXIELAND
TENNIS PLAYERS PRESENT A number of the English and New Zealand tennis players were the guests of the Auckland Tennis Association at a party at Dixieland on Saturday even - ( ing, when the cabaret was gaily decorated and the Dixieland Band supplied its usual vivacious music. Miss Yvonne Arlen and Mr. Colin Shorter gave graceful exhibitions of various ballroom dances. The guests in the tennis party included:— Mrs. E. W. Griffiths, who was wearing a draped frock of black georgette. Miss Griffiths, in a geranium rose frock of georgette. Mrs. Brander, wearing crystal embroidered ivory georgette and Chinese wrap. Mrs. Bartleet, in a brocaded frock of gentian blue and silver tissue. Miss M. Macfax*lane, whose frock was of parchment-tinted georgette. Miss Macfarlane, in a silver beaded frock of lotus rose georgette. Miss Wilma Piummer, who wore a flounced frock of rose du barri taffeta. Miss M. Rainger, whose -frock was of cherry red taffeta. Miss L. de Renzl, wearing a frock of silver tissue. Miss Jean Gordon, who wore mist-grey lace, mounted on charmeuse. Miss B. Roberts, in a frock of mandarin blue taffeta. Among others present were:— Miss M. Goldwater, whose frock was of delphinium blue taffeta. Miss D. Sliatz, frock of pompadour rose ring velvet. Miss D. Roberton, frock of gentian blue embossed velvet. Miss Lenore Mason, white frock of meChlin lace, with scarlet bow. Miss Edith Steele, lotus pink taffeta frock, appliqued with black. Miss R. Henley, frock of geranium pink georgette. Miss Lola Martin. flower-patterned frock of mignonette green crepe de chine. Miss J. Wilson, floral frock of ivory taffeta and georgette. Miss Buckiand, black -frock of georgette. Mrs. John Roberton, in a picture frock of larkspur blue taffeta. Mrs. James Roberton, beaded frock of parchment georgette. Mrs. Gambier, flower-patterned frock of lotus pink taffeta. Mrs. Dudley Gordon, blush rose frock of georgette, inset with lace. Mrs. Eric Yates, nankin blue frock of ring velvet. Mrs. Euan Dickson, long frock .of black chiffon and Chantilly lace. Mrs. Sadgrave, moon-mist blue frock of mariette, Inset • with silver lace. Mrs. W. Biggs, frock of beige lace over leaf green satin crepe. Mrs. Goodman, frock of wistaria georgette and lace. Mrs. H. R. Miller, phlox pink frock of taffeta. Mn. McEwen, black frock of Chantilly lace. Mrs. O. Jonas, flounced frock of floral chiffon. Mrs. N. Newcombe. frock of nile green cobweb lace. Mrs. A. W. Smith, black frock of chiffon velvet. Miss Myers, frock of periwinkle blue tissue. Miss Abdullah, black frock of georgette, with viola mauve relief. Miss Ngaire Webber, fringed frock of cameo rose georgette. Miss V. Moore, honery gold frock of satin crepe. Miss I. Munroe, carnation pink frock of georgette. Miss Emanuel, frock of opal blue georgette. Miss J. Clarkson, silver frock of tissue, panelled with lace. Miss Mowbray, mist blue frock of georgette. Miss T. Jackson, frock of black taffeta | and gold lace. Miss Jean Russell, mimosa yellow frock of taffeta. Miss A. McDowell, frock of black georgette and rose lace. Miss Purdon, opal blue frock of taffeta.
