NORTH SHORE CLUB The North Shore Club’s single-bird yearling championship from Palmerston North (airline 260 miles) was won by Mr. H. E. Crowhurst’s b c c Van De Groote (1,008.3yd5), Mr. R. Buchanan’s blk c Black Prince (1,008yds), 2; Mr. E. Andrews’s g h Karamu (900yds). 3. The club will contest a race from Paekakariki next week. EPSOM CLUB The Epsom Club’s race from the National Park (airline 156 miles) was won by Mr. I. H. Mortensen’s b c Continuance (1,026yd5); Mr. R. Hanson's b c Speedy (1,024yd5), 2; Mr. L. Gilbertson’s b c h Quality (I,ol9yds), 3.
