POLICE CHIEF’S REWARD
British Official Wireless Reed. 1.10 p.m. RUGBY, Sat. Brigadier General Sir William Horwood, who is shortly retiring from the post of Chief Commissioner of Metropolitan Police, has been appointed a Knight Grand Cross (civil division) of the Order of the British Empire. He is being succeeded by Lord Byng of Vimy.
