TRIED TO STEAL £20,000

AUSTRALIAN “CON” MEN (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Sunday. The authorities at Scotland Yard issued a description of three men who were wanted for an alleged attempt to practise the confidence trick upon a rich man in London. The sum involved was £20,000. The men were described as an “associated Australian gang of confidence tricksters.” One of the wanted men, named Barker, has been arrested.
