LYING ON ROADWAY
YOUTH TWICE RUN OVER DEATH FOLLOWS IN HOSPITAL Press Association PALMERSTON N., Thursday. A motor-cyclist proceeding along the Fox ton road early this morning ran over a youth lying across the road. The cyclist was thrown from his machine, but not hurt. He found the youth, James S. Chappell, aged 20, was seriously injured, having evidently been knocked down by a pasing car or a cycle just previously. Medical aid was summoned, but Chappell died from a fracture of the skull. Deceased evidently had had no warning, as his hands were still in his pockets. It is understood that his mother resides at Whangarel.
