NOT FOR AUCKLAND
JACKIE AUDUBON’S NEW OWNER
It was previously understood that Jackie Audubon, who was an inmate of J. J. Kennerley’s Christchurch stable, would in all probability be purchased by an Auckland sportsman, but private advice received this morning is to the effect that the son of Great Audubon has changed hands, and is now in the ownership of the Wellington sportsman, Mr. J. W. Murphy. Although no price was stated, the sum would, no doubt, run into four figures, for Jackie Audubon has proved himself a high-class pacer within the last few months, and if he continues to keep his present form he should not be long in returning a large share of his purchase money.
