EXTRAVAGANCE
“/V CAMPAIGN against alleged extravagance and waste has been waged by certain people. One of them is a candidate for the council. This by-election for the City Council will cost some £SOO. If there is any charge of extravagance or needless expense regarding the by-election, it does not lie with me. My nomination was in a week ahead of the others.”—Mr. F. Bloodworth at the Chamber of Commerce Hall last evening.
