SATURDAY’S GATHERING The official opening of the girls' sports ground. Market Road, Kemutra, will also be a scene of much athletic activity, for the postponed sports gathering of the Auckland Girls Athletic Association will take place there next Saturday afternoon. The full postponed programme will be gone through, and the Ponsonby Boys’ Band will enliven the afternoon with music. There has been a large demand for tennis courts this year and they are now under construction. This will necessitate the sports being held a little to the side of the grandstand, bat arrangements have been made for seating accommodation around three sidis of the sports field. A most enjoyable afternoon is promised to all interested in the outdoor play of the city’s youig business girls.
